just got back from thomson plaza. that place which i absolutely hated in the past cause i always felt there was nothing there...

today, went to eat at a restaurant called peach garden.

http://www.peachgarden.com.sg/index1.html

its seriously cool!

we had dim sum there.

and for dessert there was those pancake and TADAH! PULUT HITAM WITH ICE CREAM!

omgggg,,, cool cool cool!

but the bad thing was i was awaken by mother at TEN EARLY IN THE MORNING. ):

ohwell, its worth it. SUPER WORTH IT TO GET PULUT HITAM!

talking about pulut hitam, i have been having it for like 3 days in a row alr. dad bought it for me ytd night also. so when i got home, i had that for supper. lol. although i was full. then when i was left with the last mouthful, dad said, how come i didnt keep any for him. WHOOPS. hahaha. then he say he joking la. okay, back to dim sum. the food there is real good i have to say. no biasness because there is pulut hitam for dessert.

the environment there resembles that of a hongkong dimsum outlet, which is wow, cool. except that it is not as busy over there compared to those in the hongkong shows. i like the setting, comfortable. the peking duck was nice, so was the dim sum. they had this custurd bun that they gave us because they made us wait super long for the chee cheong fan. tht was great i tell you! i am one who NEVER eats that but when i ate it. O.O. DAMN NICE! hmmm, what else. there was this century egg prawn. OMG! that was NICE!!! the taste is wow. really good. then there was this cute little penguin stuffed with bean paste in it. not bad too. the texture outside was like those deepfried mantou.

a picture of he lil penguin without one eye. haha

the pulut hitam (1)

the pulut hitam (2)

let me describe a little bit about the pulut hitam. it was not very sweet, which i think is a good point. the ice cream blended quite well with the dessert, although i think that if the flavor was coconut it would be much better, (the flavor of the ice cream was vanilla.) the really really good and nice part of this dessert was the coconut flesh was still on the coconut! that means that you can scrape it and eat the coconut dipped in pulut hitam! the effect, HEAVENLY~. okays, and that is about all.

after that we went to fairprice to buy some stuff and i bought my $0.87 strawberry pocky!! ^^ and we went home.

i have work later... 0.0 holidays have barely started...

please note, they did not pay me to advertise them. AHAHA. the waiting time for the dishes was quite long, considering that the food was ordered before everything and we still had to wait. wait. wait. and when we asked them about the food. (FOUR OF THEM) all they told us was. okay, i check for you. and they didnt get back to us. hmmm. that is not very good huh. but the manager or something knew we were kinda pissed and gave us more attention. so yea, they did attempt to make things better. most of the staff there looked blur and unhappy, and looked like they wanted to bite our heads off or something when we were just innocently sitting there eating.

Rating: 8.5/10.

one last thing. frozen sweet pears are DELICIOUS. please try that if u have the time. delicious! ^^
