part 2 of june!

Really really feeling out of sorts for the past few days.
the nights are really the most tiring part of my day because i get a huge headache and yesterday was the worst man. i even felt like puking.

technically i did puke but nothing came out.
just went through the motions and i really felt alot better after that.
woke up today feeling soooo refreshed! :)

happy!! :)
but i wonder if i would feel sick again later tonight.
gahhh.

i don't even know what is wrong with me!
(and yes, i refuse to see a doctor.)

everyone has finally finished their exams and we went off to wherever we wanted to go after lunch was done!
with all the hype about that place, we just had to go try it.
But i would have to say that i was a tad bit disappointed.
the corn on the cob was really awesome.
the service was really worth praising.
butttttttttttt.
i find the food overpriced. (no pictures because well, it can be a bit daunting to be taking photos when everyone is hungry!)

Met with SuYin and Sherman for K!
Melvin and I were at Queen Vic marketing and we rushed back to make it in time but our dearrrrrrr SuYin was late! and worst thing was Sherman was already at Melbourne Central!!
He ended up having a cup of coffee while waiting for us.
SuYin is definitely the first friend of mine who can actually sing K till the whole list is gone, even if she don't get to sing the full song. she just sings the first 2 lines and next song. btw, we had like 10 pages of songs. each page had 5 songs. that's a whopping 50 songs that she did that. in some cases, she just sang on her own before the song even started and pressed for next song.
LOL.

  

anw, we had thai food after that!
omg now that i talk about thai food. as of 10 July 2012, i really miss tom yum soup.

as usual, menus on walls in melbourne.
and we have the pho and spring rolls! yummy :)
Gosh, the bowl is so HUGE.
and it's only at $10.
trust me, you need 3 people to finish that bowl up.
it's portion is so big.
i saw people eating it on their own and i'm like...
goodness me, how can they even stuff all of THAT in?!

got out of hse to go buy the tickets at collins street for AFL!
got a total of 9 tickets for all of us for the collingwood VS freemantle match and i felt excited.
HAHAHA!
Had a fajita with melvin and headed home to cook dinner with suyin.
haha,
and soo....
for the first time after i have known this girl for the semester, she was going to cook a dish for me!

that was our dinner, and yes. she brought us krispy kreme because i gave her some the other time when zhengyao came over and gave us doughnuts!
haha.

met up with jodie today and we went off to queen vic market to do some grocery shopping.

had lunch cooked by the both of us (WEEE!)
and headed out to meet joy at melbourne central.
we were supposed to go for some nice dessert and shop for jodie's bag!

and so le petite along little collins was where we went.
it was seriously VERY far.
we walked quite a distance to and fro.

well, not forgetting the delicious cupcakes.
*CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? JOY DOESN'T LIKE THE CREAM OFF THE CUPCAKES!!*
what a waste. they look awesome.
came home and met the two guys for dinner at my own place.

headed over to IKEAAAAAAAAAAAAA for the super craved meatballs!

since the beginning of time.
haha, and welcome to my world of exaggeration.

oh and i finally tried that $1 hotdog that everyone always talks about but i always get too full to even try it by the time i finish my shopping at ikea.
LOL. 
i never knew it was so near to me.

i always thought ikea was heck of the far.
there was a huge kmart there as well.
but haha. i always feel bad when i shop with guys and i end up not buying anything.
Celebrated today because we weren't free thereafter as melvin's friends were gonna be over in melbourne!

 

we went to scholars wine bar to celebrate! :D
the food was fantastic.
and although i would never have stepped in without the voucher due to the price on the menu, i still think the food is worth the price on the menu.
"well yeah i can say what i want, i got in with that voucher".
oh but man, that dessert was soooooooooooo good.
i've never had a souffle before so that was the first time i had it. you drizzle the chocolate sauce over it and yeah, you know what i mean, chocolate lovers.
just awesome.
the waiter came over to ask how was the meal several times, and i just couldn't resist when he came to ask how was the dessert.
yes, i said that "it was AWESOME!"

met melvin's friends over at hardware societe for brunch/lunch.
went for a run before that!
yipppee!
been too cold to run, etc etc.
it just gets tough to run. boo.
walked around in melbourne thereafter for the rest of the day and we ended up at mercadante for dinner!

 

i swear i'm always at the most conspicuous place when we are supposed to have dinner there.
the owner of the place really scares me.
he puts me on like constant guard in case he comes over to scare me.
but the food there is really great i have to say.
haha!
trade offs.

and of course, a separate post for adventures! :)

and that... was a month of fun gone

damn its so cold now.
its so miserable to feel feverish while feeling cold.

and so my exams spanned from 04 June to 07 June. crazy mad rush for 4 modules. 

04 June was release of take home exam, 05 June was Bio Psyc Exam, 07 June was due date for take home exam, Mind, Brain, Behavior 1 Exam, and Developmental Psyc Exam. 

And i was freeeeeee after that. 

Well, i would like to think so. 

HAHA.

i had a super bad feeling about my developemental psyc paper. in fact, i even dreamt that i failed that paper. goodness. all's well though. haha. 

though not VERY well. 

but it went fineeeeeeeeeeeee.

Headed to a cafe along Flinders Street for dinner and had Goat's Cheese for the first time! Wooh. 

  

and the last photo was the goat's cheese dish. This cafe's called something like Degraves' Cafe of smth. Rather good food and portioning looks a little small but that was like 3 entrees for $33. I would like to think it is $33. haha!

Laksa King for lunch! :)

melvin's complaint about the tempeh was that it didn't really have the authentic taste. 

my complaint was i wanted the singaporean katong laksaaaaaaaaaa!

that was like curry laksa. 

but the food was still good though. 

and the nasi lemak was REALLY awesome. 

that's food enough for 3 btw. we regretted ordering so much. 

i didn't have dinner afterwards lol!

and Scones for breakfast at Animal Orchestra :)

yummyyyy spells the food that i had today. 

haha. 

animal orchestra is like a little cafe situated along grattan street opposite uni melb and i pass by the street almost everyday (well across the street), but i never ever notice it, till zy came and was talking to me about it. good find:)

Met Jodie to do some 'shopping'.

jodie is super task oriented. 

we literally did what she needed to do and went home. 

haha. 

but we had brunch at Cafe Andiamos. (i know, why there again? but that place is really not that bad!)

and our jodie was having cravings for cupcakes, pizza and churros. 

we had all of them btw. 

well she bought the cupcakes for dessert home, and when we wanted to order churros, it was an order turned wrong but still awesomely right. 

haha. 

note: we didn't finish the churros. 

who could? we had such a filling meal beforehand!

 

and it was peko peko with melvin for dinner! 

their wasabi mayo prawns was really awesome. 

and that started me off with another one of my 'experiements' in the kitchen :)

andddd we had an after dinner coffee at maccas!
apparantly sherman said they serve aussie's best coffees.
with so many cafes here, i really wonder why!!

after studying abit in school.
we had the bun cha and pho (as usual).
we wanted smth soupy and it was really not bad.
serving was hugeeeeeeee. but now that i compare it to another vietnamese food, hmmm.
the serving is just not as big. haha

Haha and we had Freddo Ice Cream!
honestly, i think it is rather overrated.
like it's good, but not fantastic kind?
but as long as it's icecream :)))

Met Jodie to go to Sydney Road together!
We wanted to check out this warehouse sale by retro star.
the place was huge.
but...
we bought nothing at all because the stuffs they sold were seriously too retro.
anything that we saw we liked was either too small or too big.
and we left feeling kind of disappointed.
and cos jodie saw me eating fish and chips the previous time we met, it has since been gnawing on her and she wanted to have that.
and so we walked along Victoria Street haha.

came across this train track and lots and lots of second hand shops!
met up with sherman and melvin for coffee and manchester press.
nice coffee which was rather busy!

it is rather overpriced and the food at classic indian company was really much better (esp when you compare prices haha!) oh there was complimentary papadams. for papadam lovers out there haha.

Had lunch at Taiwan Cafe! 

It was a little oily but the food is quite okay. 

rather average. but maybe we ordered the wrong dishes?

okay i'm lazy to update the next half of june. shall do it tomorrow. and after i upload the rest of my photos to my laptop. hahaha. 

weeeeeee today was a sunny and not so cold day! :D
in the morning that is, im not sure about later on. 
melbourne weather is as predictable as a girl PMS-ing.
anyway, came across this quote, and i think it is super touching.

May is sooooooo uneventful that i don't even feel like blogging hahha.
but damn. if i dont get onto it, i never will i guess.

my left leg still hurts.
i don't know why it hurts, but it just suddenly started hurting and has been hurting for like 5 days already.

Went to Glenferrie with the really crazy girls!
we had dinner at this vietnamese restaurant and i swear this was one of the most epic outings i ever had in melbourne.
the girls are ABSOLUTELY crazy!
it still surprises me how i actually got to know joy and how we started hanging out together.
she was like sitting beside me in lecture and at the end of lecture, she asked me how much did i pay for my cover.
i said i bought it for likr 6 for $11 from SG gmarket and she was like damn...
covers are SOOO expensive here it is unbelievable.
i brought my spares so i offered to give her one, and we exchanged numbers and soon we started going for lectures and hanging out sometimes!
see, it pays to be kind.

Had dinner at a korean restaurant (which was really like a hole in the wall!)
the food's pretty awesome and if you want a seat, you got to go early to reserve it.
no call-ins!
the place is ALWAYS crowded, and oops they sent us a wrong dish and so we had an extra FREE soup.
:)
i prefer the kimchi soup over the seafood and beancurd soup though.
oh and the bbqed-beef is really DAMN awesome.
not sure if you can get the servers to bbq for you.
i bbq-ed on my own haha.

Met up with Jodie to cut my hair before heading off the to law library to study!
bought a woolies' chicken home and we had that for dinner! :D
woolies' roasted chicken is damn awesomeeeeeeeeee.
and that is me with NEW SHORT HAIR! :D
wanted to cut it short for so long but never ever got myself to do it.
i always regret not cutting my hair shorter after going home from the hairdresser.
everyone always tells me NOOOO DONT CUT! or give me those 'you must be CRAZY' looks when i mention it.
with melvin's support and the super exorbitant price of a haircut ($35AUD - oh-my-mother-god), i decided to cut my hair short.
HAHA!

went to sydney road for dinner 
we had nepalese food.
never had it before.
the food was niceeeeee!
the starter was this yoghurt thingy which was really awesome! (it had those kachang puteh bits in it; really loveeeeeeeeed it)
the main course included goat's curry, and this chicken dish which i remembered i loved. AHHA. the dessert was a really sweet dumpling like this with a tinge of ginger and glutinous rice with coconut milk.

seriously most of my days are spent studying either at the library, at home, or at the gym or pool.

in the end i was like later than i would take if i walked there because i took the wrong tram and landed myself like super far from the state lib. to make matters worse, i walked further away because i was too lazy to take out my gps to check. i took the wrong tram because i presumed that the tram that i wanted to take would be the next tram to come. -.- reallly.....

we went to have dinner at lygon (Mercadante Woodfired Pizzeria)
tried their nutella pizza for the first time!
partly cos charles loves nutella.
other than that we never tried it before!!
food is GOOD. but the owner loves to scare people - throwing fake spiders at the table, disturbing you when you let your guard down (YES HE DISTURBED ME! >:( )
but it was a nice cosy place, though waiting for a place can be quite a problem during peak hours.

went for horseriding over at Geelong.
it was a good experience, but everywhere was aching after that.
like seriously,
i even had bruises on my legs.
i was SOOOOOOOO tired. its like i went to run for ages or something.
i didn't even feel this way when i ran 10KM.
it's that crazy!
but it was fun hahaha.
oh and we went to have korean food at little lonsdale street (i think)
the food was not bad but abit oily.

i know i met jodie today in the library to study and catch up on assignments.
and we headed back together cos the lib closed at 5pm.
went with her to dominoes and ahem forgot the way to sherman's place again.
seriously, my sense of direction HAS to improve. why can't my brain accept info about the directions!??
but i eventually found the place okay! bought the sauce and headed back to prepare for dinner.

i trudged through school for the sake of 6PM. hahaha i know i sound ridiculous, but our school had this MUOSS event where there were all sorts of food, games, etc. it was like some sort of fun fair. it was SUPER CROWDED, and we had mua chee!! and that's us in front of the SSS (SG student society) booth. hannah's holding mua chee and im holding apple crumble pie. melvin's holding apple tea. it came with the apple crumble. I LOVE APPLES. hahahhaha

headed over to International House for a free dinner!
the dinner was actually not bad. haha eve said we were lucky.
it was really funny meeting the girls again and we went on a tour around the place!
wanted to go to lygon's woolworths after that but it was too dark.
i chickened out and called the rest asking where they were going for dinner after their run and tagged along with them HAHA (no i didn't have a second dinner. i just watched them eat dinner okay!)

went for sunnystones camp! its a camp with SSS and i made quite a lot of friends. its an all singaporeans camp. well there are a few others from other countries like korea and malaysia! we did quite a lot of crazy stuffs, like play the war game (which was really scary to me due to the after war tension), we played real life cluedo, had good food (its really not easy cooking meals for like 70 people! they were really awesome people), oh and we played quite a few RUNNING MAN games! omt i love running man. but i haven't been watching it since i came over. :(

Picnic at botanical gardens today! oh and cos there was this F1 race thing going on, we could hear the F1 cars! :D played frisbee after 4 years of no frisbee! i will never forget how huda and joyce attempt their murder. Especially HUDA. she totally threw the frisbee to my neck once. not forgetting the many other times when the frisbee attacks my head. we had potluck pincic lunch and saw people setting up the moonlight cinema!!! i so want to try watching it. it would be soo cooooooooooool.

 

followed by a dinner with pre-dep group! we had so much fun talking about our old school days. i miss secondary and even primary school! met them for korean food. (Oh i so love korean food and damn i miss korean food!) dessert thereafter at this newly opened place that serves ice cream in ice cube forms. we shared it, and the staff gave us 3 free flavors to try! ARE THEY AWESOME OR WHAT. :)

FINALLY rushed out an assignment for biopsyc report! happy! but the video that my tutor showed about a guy is really sad. :( 

we were then supposed to go running but the weather forecast told us that it might rain and so we decided not to run and just meet for dinner instead. WE HAD NICE PIZZA :) is anyone jealous yet? :D

THATS TODAY! well before i sleep for the day. hehe. WE WENT TO SING K! OMG I AM SO HAPPY. today i did so many things that i like. went to jog at gym, ate apple, sing k. OH AND I BOUGHT A HEATER FOR 29$ ONLY. its damn powerful! yayness happy happy me! :)

school advice day today. it was damn boring. but at least i met up with my pre-dep friends! ^^
and apparently because i had like advance standing but because i am taking psyc, the amount of advance standing i am given is reduced. as a result, i either have to overload or i have to do some summer term or winter recess here. i am not gonna overload for the time being because my brain is seriously already overloading with information about. THE BRAIN. that would mean lesser time spent when i go back to singapore though. and i miss everyone back in SG!

Went to Luna park with hannah and sherman! and a new friend melvin! its abit like escape theme park if you know what i mean. Universal Studios should set up a 'branch' in Melb. i would go. HEHE. and so we played for about half a day. and headed off for lunch and i had gelato! lemon :D can't remember what i did after that and so i shan't wreck my brains over it. my brain is wrecked enough as it is with all the terms haha. WAIT. i do remember that we went to have jap food at st kilda before heading home! so my memory is not that bad right :)

had orientation today! it was boring. really boring. i can't remember half of my friends. i don't even know if i can consider them my friends. in fact, the friends that i made i cant remember their faces. okay i know i'm really lousy but i don't care. HAHA.

Headed to GREAT OCEAN ROAD today! :D rented a car and four of us took turns to drive. okay driving is not the main point here. the scenery was damn nice. we had some not very nice fish and chips along the way for lunch and hannah found a worm in the fish Eww. we stopped eating immediately and rather remained hungry. had dinner at lygon after coming back! gooood foood

Met up in the morning to return our rented car and oh i haven't mentioned that the car was red:) super love red. and pandas! i know, random. went to have breakfast at Post office at QV market. seriously, their breakfast is damn awesome, just that serving is so large that hannah and i have to share. but it is REALLY good. headed home and started to do something. i know i was doing something but i dont know what it was. oops.

Southbank today! headed to DFO with hannah, ian and yu qi. then the two gay brothers came to find us! okay i dk when this name for them came about now, but anyway this is their name now! oh gay brothers refer to melvin and sherman. popped by crowne casino cos i wanted to find baby joanne and while walking through, we actually got $5 hahaha! not from gambling tho. we just signed up for their VIP membership. and nope. no intentions to gamble. :)
i still get kinda sad when 26th comes by because of blackie. but i think time heals wounds because the hurt isn't there anymore. and guilt is sorta erased already. but i miss her, so much. ):
but i was happy today!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
the funny thing about everything is that i felt going to school was a natural thing. it was like i was just coming back to school from a holiday. oh and i could even attend lectures on my own omt! okay i was always able to attend lectures on my own but company is always better! had a tutorial for this power module i was taking. and it is SO scary. i was like the only chinese asian there!? totally scary. i felt intimidated even though there was no one threatening me or bullying me. i felt like a minority! which is really something that i havent felt all this while. but i enjoyed the class. school ended after that tutorial! (happy!)

and this marks the end of feb!

Tardy

Turns out i never got to blogging because my biopsyc report was due today and i never got to my target. Handed it in alrd and i am seriously lacking of sleep with just 3 hours of sleep from 430am to 7am. And im cranky now. :(

Each time i on my laptop its just work for the upcoming assignments that are due. Its SOOOOOO boring.
